Dispute Resolution in Impact Investments

Over the 2025-2026 academic year, the Grunin Center conducted a first-of-its-kind survey focused on the resolution of disputes in the impact investment sector.

In collaboration with international law firm White & Case LLP, the survey gathered views from across the impact investment community about how and where these disputes are resolved, factors that contribute to effective resolution, and challenges. Stakeholders shared their perspectives through an initial questionnaire, followed by interviews with respondents that delved deeper into these questions.

• On June 3, 2026, Deborah Burand, Sven Volkmer, Camille Esnou, Marie-Camille Pitton, and Matthew Kasdin facilitated the "Dispute Resolution in Impact Investing: Findings and a Path Forward" Table Talk at the IILWG/Grunin Center Annual Conference on Legal Issues in Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Investing – in the US and Beyond.
