Department Mission Statement

The Faculty Affairs department facilitates the recruitment, development, promotion, retention, and engagement of a strong and productive faculty, and ensures the conditions necessary for their success and flourishing. 

It supports faculty in their teaching effectiveness and research and scholarship, and stewards resources in furtherance of both to meet the goals of the Law School’s educational programs.

The department manages a range of logistical and operational functions that enable faculty activities and student engagement—including administrative support, office and housing resources, and research assistance—across all stages of the academic career. 

The Faculty Affairs department provides comprehensive administrative and logistical support for the world-renowned faculty who visit the Law School each year.

The department is responsible for ensuring that faculty-related processes are handled thoughtfully, consistently, and with a high degree of integrity, while advancing the Law School’s broader academic priorities.
