Academic Accommodations & Accessibility Support

Important Dates

The Moses Center Student Portal will become available on Friday, August 16, 2024.

We are offering virtual drop-in hours bi-weekly on Fridays starting starting September 6, 2024 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. EST.

Introduction to Accommodations

The Office of Academic Services works closely with the Moses Center for Student Accessibility, the Office of Residential Life, the Office of Facilities Services, and the Office of Student Affairs to fulfill classroom, exam and housing accommodation requests for our students.

General services provided include testing accommodations, adaptive computer equipment, sign language interpreters, and readers, to name a few.  Any student who needs an accommodation must start the process by submitting appropriate documentation to the Moses Center. (The steps can be found below or on the Requesting Academic Accommodations page).

Step 1: Generate Accommodation Letters for NYU Law

Log in to the student portal, click the top for each class, and an automated letter will be submitted to Academic Services. Please DO NOT email this letter to ANY of your professors.

Step 2: Submit a JIRA Request

Submit a JIRA ticket for EACH class for EACH accommodation you are requesting. Please Note: class recording requests are not retroactive. Once your ticket is approved by your professor, the request will be processed

Step 3: Use ExamReporter for Final Exam Accommodations

Request your Approved Moses accommodation for EACH of your final exams. Academic services will then process the alternative testing accommodation approved by the Moses Center for student accessibility. If you also have furniture accommodations, please submit a request. Please be advised FULL PERIOD exams are not accommodated.

For more details, please see our page on How to Request Academic Accommodations.
