The Furman program also has an excellent track record of placing alumni in judicial clerkships. To date, Furmans have clerked on the Supreme Court, federal appellate courts, and district courts. Virtually all Furmans who seek one or more clerkships get them.

Although the Program is geared toward placing alumni in legal academia, Furmans have also gone on to serve in a variety of prestigious government positions. Furman alumni have worked at the following institutions:
