Faculty Director
The Faculty Director chairs the JSD Committee. The Faculty Director is responsible for overseeing the JSD Forum, assisting students with the identification of dissertation committee members, providing academic advice to all students and candidates in the program, and offering assistance with the academic job search.
The JSD Committee
The JSD Committee is appointed by the Dean of the Law School to offer admission to applicants to the JSD program, approve the passage of students to JSD candidacy after the first year, consider requests for exceptions to policies, and award the JSD degree.
The JSD Manager
The JSD Manager is appointed by the Faculty Director and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the program. Karin Loevy, the current manager, may be contacted at jsdcoordinator@nyu.edu.
