Department of Residence Services

Welcome to New York University School of Law. We hope you will join our academic and residential community to experience the advantages NYU Law and Greenwich Village provide.

NYU School of Law student housing offers a variety of smoke-free living arrangements within its two high-rise apartment-style residence halls and low-rise apartment building. Most student residents live in private bedrooms within shared two-or three-bedroom apartments. Family & Partner housing and one-person accommodations are available but limited in quantity.

Living in the residence halls will allow students to engage fully in the NYU Law experience. Hayden and D'Agostino Residence Halls, our two high-rise facilities, feature twenty-four hour front desk and maintenance staff coverage, NYU-TV cable television, and NYU ResNet which provides high-speed wireless and data capability. Complementing the private living spaces are meeting/study rooms, laundry rooms, game rooms, lounges, and terraces designed to encourage discussion, interaction, and informal socializing. These residential buildings also house the student journal office, the Student Bar Association, and other student organizations. Please see the specific building descriptions on our website for full details of all our facilities, including apartment layouts and furnishings.

Law School housing, offering numerous amenities, advantageous rates, and an ideal NYC location, is a wonderful option for all students. While it is difficult for us to know space availability in NYU School of Law residences until later in the summer, if you are interested in on-campus housing, we encourage you to submit the Academic Year 2025-2026 Housing Application as early as possible after you have activated your NYU account.

We look forward to assisting in any way we can, and we extend to you a warm welcome to the NYU School of Law community.
