What would an environmental law society be without a little exposure to the natural environment of the northeast? While it's easy to forget when surrounded on all sides by concrete, there are actually some beautiful spots for hiking not far outside the city.
Annual ELS Outdoor Events:
- Hike at Bear Mountain, Mid-October
ELS provides transportation for approximately 100 JDs and LLMs to and from Bear Mountain State Park for a day-long fall foliage escape. There are several trails available, including a hike up to the summit to see a spectacular vista of the Hudson River. We end the day with Oktoberfest festivities at the park. - Cold Spring Hike, spring semester (weather permitting)
- Ice Skating at Bryant Park, February (weather permitting)
