Office of Career Services

The Office of Career Services (OCS) is the resource hub for students interested in private sector law careers.

OCS, along with the Public Interest Law Center, hosts recruiting programs, panels, workshops, and practice interview sessions.

One-on-one appointments are available with a team of counselors on the OCS staff. Contact OCS to schedule an appointment, and you can ask about everything from résumé tailoring to interview tips to your long-term career goals. Their office is located on the fourth floor of Furman Hall.

Public Interest Law Center

The Public Interest Law Center (PILC) is the resource hub for students interested in public sector law careers, including government service. Along with the Office of Career Services, PILC hosts recruiting programs, job fairs, panels, workshops, and practice interview sessions. The annual PILC Fair, which occurs in February, is the largest public interest job fair in the country. 

One-on-one appointments are available with a team of PILC counselors. Email pilc.appointments@nyu.edu to schedule an appointment. Their office is located on the fourth floor of Furman Hall.

Judicial Clerkship Office

The Judicial Clerkship Office was created to assist students in the clerkship application process. They host information sessions about clerking and the application process, provide coaching and support to students who are applying to clerkships, and offer individual counseling and advising sessions. They also provide access to a tight-knit network of over 1,900 current and former law clerks who graduated from NYU Law. You can find their office on the fourth floor of Furman Hall.

Academic Careers Program

The Academic Careers Program is the resource hub for students who are interested in pursuing a career in legal academia and legal instruction. They provide events, one-on-one counseling, hands-on assistance with applying for legal academic jobs, an annual Scholarship Clinic, handbooks and resources about the legal academia hiring process, and more. You can find their office on the fourth floor of Furman Hall.
