Children's Scholarship Program

The New York University Law School Foundation offers the Children’s Scholarship Program to help eligible faculty or administrators pay their dependent child(ren)’s tuition at an eligible educational institution. The Scholarship Program assists with tuition costs for children at eligible institutions from kindergarten and through a baccalaureate degree. The tuition payments provided by the Scholarship Program are exempt from federal income tax.

To be eligible for the Scholarship Program, faculty and administrators must have a permanent, full-time appointment at the New York University School of Law:

Completed applications, along with the required supporting documentation, should be submitted via email to Law HR (lawhr@nyu.edu) at least three weeks before the tuition payment due date or as soon as possible if we are issuing a check directly to the school.  If you are requesting reimbursement, please submit your materials to Law HR within 75 days of the payment date. All reimbursements must be submitted and processed in the fiscal year when the expense was incurred.

Please note that reimbursement reports in Concur must be created by Law HR; employees should not initiate these reports themselves. Reimbursements must go through the standard workflow and be approved by your supervisor. If you have reservations about your supervisor having access to your reimbursement request, you have the option for Law HR to send payment directly to the school.

If your child is in college/university, you may be eligible to also participate in the University's portable tuition benefit.
