Clinic Application Timelines

JD Deadlines for 2027-28 Clinics, Externships and Labs

  • March 5, 2027: Clinic Fair 3:00-5:00 PM at the Clinical Law Center, Furman Hall, 5th floor
  • March 8-23: Application Period. All clinics require that students submit a general application form, a resume and an unofficial transcript via the Clinic Application and Matching System (CAMS). Please consult the individual clinic descriptions for full details.
  • March 23: All application materials are due by 5:00 PM.
  • March 24 - April 12: Interviews conducted (for clinics that require them). Interviews may be conducted remotely or in person.
  • April 13: Preferences must be submitted on CAMS by 5:00 PM.
  • April 28:  Students notified by e-mail whether or not they have been accepted into a clinic.
  • May 13:  Confirmation of JD students' intent to register must be received by 5:00 PM.

Round 2 Deadlines for LL.M.s and shutout JDs for 2026-27: 

  • May 25-29, 2026: Application Period. Submit general application form, resume and unofficial transcript via  Clinic Application and Matching System (CAMS). 
  • May 29: All application materials are due by 5:00 PM.
  • June 1-10: Interviews conducted (for clinics that require them). Interviews may be conducted remotely or in person.
  • June 11: Preferences must be submitted on CAMS by 5:00 PM.
  • June 23:  Students notified by e-mail whether or not they have been accepted into a clinic.
  • June 30: Confirmation of students' intent to register must be received by 5:00 PM.

Round 3: Deadlines for Transfer Students for 2026-27: 

  • July 13-27, 2026: Application Period. Submit general application form, resume and unofficial transcript via  Clinic Application and Matching System (CAMS). 
  • July 27–Aug 3: Interviews conducted (for clinics that require them)
  • Aug 4: Preferences must be submitted on CAMS by 5:00 PM.
  • Aug 7: Students notified by e-mail whether or not they have been accepted into a clinic.
  • Aug 11: Confirmation of students' intent to register must be received by 5:00 PM.
