Course Description

Students will work on legal, policy, and governance matters related to data and artificial intelligence in humanitarian, development, refugee resettlement, and/or environmental contexts. Exemplary work includes review of AI tools and use cases, drafting and revision of AI-related contract terms, and monitoring of emerging AI regulatory frameworks. Students may also have an opportunity to participate in building AI agents.

Students interested in applying for the Lab should submit the standard application, resume, and transcript by email to Angelina Fisher, with a cc to Susan Hodges. Admission will be based on the written application and an interview. 

 

* 4 credits include 2 externship credits and 2 academic seminar credits per semester.
