Postgraduate Fellowships Handbook
Post-graduate fellowships are time-limited, full-time positions that are generally awarded at or near the beginning of your legal career. They provide unique opportunities for new lawyers to start and expand their legal careers.
At PILC, we work closely with NYU Law students and alumni to identify and apply to a wide variety of post-graduate fellowships.
Project Fellowships
Project fellowships are unique in that the applicant, in partnership with a host organization, develops a proposal for a legal project to be executed over the course of one to two years.
Internally-Funded Fellowships
Internally-funded fellowships (sometimes referred to as organizational fellowships) are more akin to time-limited staff attorney positions.
NYU-Dedicated Fellowships
NYU Law offers a number of postgraduate fellowships exclusively for graduating NYU Law students and alumni.
