Lindsay Kendrick

Lindsay Kendrick currently serves as the Dean of Students and the Assistant Dean for Diversity and Inclusion at NYU School of Law. Prior to joining NYU Law, she served as the diversity and inclusion manager at Ropes & Gray and as the East Coast diversity manager at Sidley Austin. She also practiced for five years as an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell. Kendrick holds a BA in Psychology from Georgetown University; a JD from Howard University, where she served as the managing editor of the Howard Law Journal; and an MS in Organizational Change Management from the New School’s Milano School for Management and Urban Policy.
Ileana Casellas-Katz
Director for Diversity and Inclusion

Ileana Casellas-Katz serves as the Director for Diversity and Inclusion at NYU School of Law. Prior to joining NYU Law, she served as the Associate Director of Multicultural Affairs and Community Outreach at Columbia University where she led programming, training and mentoring initiatives with a focus on supporting first-generation and lower-income students. Casellas-Katz was previously a fellow in the Office for Equity, Diversity & Inclusion at Harvard University and began her career at the Posse Foundation, a national college access organization, where she directed the foundation’s STEM and Veterans programs. Casellas-Katz received a B.A. in American Studies from Tufts University, an Ed.M. in Higher Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and an Ed.D. in the Higher Education Administration program at NYU Steinhardt.

Habibat T. Shittu
Assistant Director for Diversity and Inclusion

Habibat T. Shittu serves as the Assistant Director for Diversity and Inclusion at NYU School of Law. Born in Nigeria and raised in Brooklyn and Harlem, New York City, she brings over a decade of experience in higher education, nonprofit organizations, and arts administration, with a strong commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion practices. Prior to joining NYU Law, she held roles at the International Rescue Committee, the City College of New York (CUNY), Rutgers University–New Brunswick, and NYU’s Office of Student Success. She is currently the Nonprofit Social Impact Manager at the American Muslim Community Foundation and the founder of Activate God, a multifaith/interfaith community. Shittu holds a BA in Sociology with minors in Studio Art and Black Studies from the City College of New York, as well as two master’s degrees: Ed.M. in College Student Affairs from Rutgers University and MA in Visual Arts Administration from NYU Steinhardt.
