Franco Ferrari article cited by Third Circuit
In a July 21 ruling, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit cited an article by Professor Franco Ferrari. The case, Guarani v. Daros International, involved a contract dispute between an Argentine manufacturer of wood products and an American importer. As part of its analysis of contractual and choice-of-law issues, the court cited Ferrari’s piece, “Writing Requirements: Article 11-13", which appeared in a compilation co-edited by Ferrari, The Draft UNCITRAL Digest and Beyond: Cases, Analysis and Unresolved Issues in the U.N. Sales Convention. Ferrari is executive director of the Law School’s Center for Transnational Litigation and Commercial Law.
