Law School hosts international doctoral candidates at annual ATLAS Agora

From June 21 to July 1 NYU School of Law hosted the third annual Association of Transnational Law Schools (ATLAS) Agora. Led by Joseph Straus Professor of Law Joseph Weiler, the two-week gathering of doctoral candidates featured workshops, methodology sessions, and mini-courses built to foster the development of doctoral dissertations.

The daily events featured numerous sessions with NYU Law professors, such as “Interpretation and the Constitution,” led by Hiller Family Foundation Professor of Law David Golove and "The Law of Democracy,” led by Bonnie and Richard Reiss Professor of Constitutional Law Samuel Issacharoff.

ATLAS is a consortium of 10 institutions; NYU Law is joined by the London School of Economics and Political Science, which hosted the 2009 event, Osgoode Hall Law School of York University (Toronto), which hosted the 2008 event, University of Cape Town, Universidad de Deusto (Bilbao), University of Melbourne, Université de Montréal, Bucerius Law School (Hamburg), Bar-Ilan University (Tel Aviv), and the National University of Singapore.
