NYU Law holds 66th Annual Conference on Labor on regulation of compensation

Early in June, the Center for Labor and Employment Law held the 66th Annual Conference on Labor. The conference focused on the regulation of compensation, in recognition of the 75th Anniversary of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (FLSA). Co-sponsored with the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations and St. John's University School of Law, the conference took place over the course of two days at NYU School of Law. Experts discussed topics ranging from the reformation of the FLSA to emerging pay issues in the United States and abroad. In addition to panel discussions, Solicitor Patricia Smith '77 of the U.S. Department of Labor and Acting General Counsel Lafe Solomon of the National Labor Relations Board each gave a keynote address.
