How does the price of electricity get set, and who decides what it should be? This workshop offers an introduction to the complex systems behind the electric grid – the system we rely on every time we turn on a light or charge our phones. We’ll discuss how electricity is bought and sold; who makes the rules; the roles of federal regulators, regional grid operators, and states; and how renewable energy is shaping power markets.
