State Policymaking as a Vehicle for Racial Justice: How You Can Make an Impact.

  • Friday, March 27, 2026
  • 1:15–2:15 p.m.
    1. Furman Hall, Classroom 216

As the federal government retreats from enforcing civil rights laws and cracks down on private efforts to encourage diversity, equity, and inclusion, policymaking to address America’s racial justice gaps has been left primarily to the states. This panel will feature people using state government as a vehicle to fight for racial justice in the face of federal headwinds.
