Special event for the Sovereign Finance, Capital Markets, and Global Regulatory Challenges Seminar [Credit Course for NYU Law School and Stern MBA Degrees]
Tuesday, November 18, 2025
In February 2025 President Trump issued an executive order to establish a US sovereign wealth fund (SWF). As illustrated by recent $8.9 billion US investment in Intel Corporation and the approval of Ambler Road Project in Alaska, Trump’s US SWF is also focused on strategic AI and infrastructure investing. It is a global trend that public investment funds, collectively managing more than $30 trillion assets, are increadingly becoming the economic driver and policy tool for development.
Thanks to the latest Generative AI boom, digital infrastructure assets like data centers, cloud computing, and related energy projects attract long-term capital from SWFs and pension funds. These “new infrastructure” assets offers stable cash flows, supports global connectivity, and drives sustainable growth. In the global capital markets, how will these public investment funds evolve with the enegy transition and digital economy development agenda?
