Pro Bono Scholars Program Externship Info Session
This event is not open to the public.
Come learn about NYU Law School’s expanded externship program in conjunction with the New York State Pro Bono Scholars Program (PBSP). The PBSP is a unique program through which graduating law students have the option to spend their final semester working full-time with legal services organizations. As part of the program, students are permitted to take the February bar exam, which will allow them to be admitted to practice immediately after graduation. Through NYU’s PBSP Externship, students will be placed with various civil legal services providers in New York City for their final semester of law school to gain practical skills and experience. Students will also participate in a weekly seminar to complement their fieldwork that will provide an intensive analysis of the legal, strategic, ethical, and cultural issues that typically arise in public interest lawyering.
