OUTLaw Alumni Reception

OUTLaw will continue their tradition of honoring distinguished alumni for their outstanding professional achievements and advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community. The OUTLaw Alum of the Year Award will be presented to Gabriel Arkles '04 Co-Interim Legal Director and Litigation Director, Advocates for Trans Equality (A4TE) in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the LGBTQIA+ community. OUTLaw brings together NYU Law students, alumni, faculty, and staff who self-identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual (LGBTQIA+) and allies. OUTLaw sponsors educational events throughout the year, keeps the Law School community informed on legal issues impacting LGBTQIA+ rights, and raises the visibility of LGBTQIA+ people within the legal profession. OUTLaw advocates for inclusion of queer perspectives within the Law School and works in partnership with allies within the school and beyond to end discrimination in all its forms.
