The NYU Law and Political Economy Association is pleased to host its annual Law and Political Economy (LPE) Orientation, an introduction to the LPE Project and our work as a student group, on Wednesday, September 2 from 6:00–7:30pm. LPE aims to convene scholars, practitioners, activists, and students working to develop innovative intellectual, pedagogical, and political interventions to advance the critical study of law and its relationship to power, particularly economic power.
At orientation, we’ll discuss how LPE operates as a school of thought as well as an organizing project. We will hear from Corinne Blalock, Director of the New York Policy Forum and former Director of the LPE Project at Yale Law School, and Michael Ohlrogge, Professor of Law at NYU Law School, as well as NYU LPE student leaders and members.
