The NYU China–U.S. Summit Forum is a student-led academic and professional forum co-organized by the NYU Chinese Students and Scholars Association (NYUCSSA) and the Chinese Law Students Association (CLSA) at NYU School of Law. The event aims to create a platform for thoughtful discussion on the evolving economic, technological, and legal landscape shaping China–U.S. relations.
As cross-border business, technology development, and capital markets continue to transform, students and young professionals navigating careers between the United States and China face increasingly complex regulatory environments and professional decisions. Legal frameworks—ranging from immigration policy and corporate governance to data regulation and cross-border compliance—play an increasingly central role in shaping these opportunities.
The forum will bring together entrepreneurs, investors, legal practitioners, and industry professionals to discuss how law, policy, and market forces intersect in areas such as entrepreneurship, emerging technologies, and global career development. Through panel discussions and moderated conversations, speakers will share practical insights on topics including startup formation and cross-border compliance, immigration and career pathways, artificial intelligence and regulatory change, and leadership challenges faced by women and international professionals in global organizations.
The event will feature a series of structured panel discussions followed by audience Q&A, designed to encourage substantive dialogue between speakers and attendees. Participants will include students from NYU and other universities, early-career professionals, founders, and practitioners from fields including law, finance, technology, and consulting.
The forum will conclude with a Cocktail Networking Reception, providing an opportunity for students, speakers, and professionals to connect in an informal setting and continue discussions initiated during the panels.
By bringing together perspectives from law, business, and technology, the NYU China–U.S. Summit Forum aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and strengthen connections between students and professionals engaged in cross-border work.
