On MSCHF: A Conversation with John Belcaster

  • Monday, March 30, 2026
  • 1:15–2:30 p.m.
    1. Vanderbilt Hall, Smart Classroom 210

This event is not open to the public.

John Belcaster is the General Counsel of MSCHF, a Brooklyn-based art collective known for creating viral, controversial projects and limited-edition products that satirize consumerism, culture, and technology. The collective's work often blurs the lines between art, fashion, and internet stunts, with famous drops like the "Big Red Boots," "Jesus Shoes," and "Satan Shoes". Art Law Society is pleased to host Mr. Belcaster, who will first discuss MSCHF's mission and the legal and artistic intersections behind their most notable projects, followed by a talk titled "The Power of Playfulness: Coloring Within(?) the Lines".
