The Institute for Corporate Governance & Finance sponsors a series called “A Life in the Law” in which seasoned practitioners discuss their journeys in legal practice. Our Spring 2026 guest is H. Rodgin Cohen, Senior Chair at Sullivan & Cromwell. Rodge has been at the center of the changes to the law and economics of financial institutions since he joined Sullivan & Cromwell in 1970. Whether it be his work with the NY Clearing House or his central role in financial institution mergers & acquistions, Rodge has shaped the development of the modern financial system. Rodge will be interviewed by his former partner, Jay Clayton, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York and former Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (2017-2020) and ICGF co-director Ed Rock. Please join us to hear Rodge reflect upon his career, the choices he made, and, more generally, how one maps out a career in the law.
The program will be in Lipton Hall in D’Agostino Hall on February 3, starting at 5:00 p.m. and will be followed by a reception.
