The inaugural NYU Law conference on the sovereign debt crisis – co-sponsored by NYU LPE, LaLSA, the Earth Law Committee, SE-SL, and Columbia University's Initiative for Policy Dialogue – is taking place on March 31st!  Inspired by the 2025 Jubilee Report, commissioned by the late Pope Francis, the conference will bring together leading experts on sovereign debt, finance for development, and movements for climate justice. Attendees will learn how the law of New York State can enable better futures for many Global South countries and territories. If you are interested in attending, please register here.
