The The Arthur Garfield Hays Civil Liberties Program and the NYU Journal of Legislation & Public Policy invite you to attend a book talk to be delivered by Judith Resnik (Yale, NYU Class of 1975) on her new book, Impermissible Punishments: How Prison Became a Problem for Democracy. The talk will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 12 pm – 2 pm in Lipton Hall. Professor Resnik's talk will be accompanied by brief comments by Professor Alexis Karteron and Professor Emma Kaufman. (Additional commentators may be added later.) Questions and discussion will follow, and lunch will be provided.
