Harm Reduction Panel: Black-led and Grassroots

  • Thursday, April 2, 2026
  • 6:00–7:00 p.m.
    1. Furman Hall, Seminar Room 310

Please join NYU Law Student Advocates for Empowerment through Harm Reduction and the National Black Harm Reduction Network for a panel/discussion on grassroots harm reduction efforts. We will be joined by Bre Azanedo, who created a local harm reduction initiative at Black Lives Matter-Paterson and is bringing her model to Black-led organizations around the country. We will also be joined by a community organization here in New York City to discuss what harm reduction and overdose prevention look like on the ground, and what we all can do to advance it in our own communities.

Dinner will be served.
