Hosted by the JD/MBA Association: With firm receptions quickly approaching, this event is designed to give 1Ls a foundational understanding of different law firms and practice areas, with a particular focus on transactional practice. If you’re not quite sure about the difference between M&A, capital markets, investment funds, or other transactional groups, we’ll break down what these practices actually look like, how firms can differ from one another, and what students should be thinking about as recruiting approaches.

Whether you already have a practice area in mind or have absolutely no idea where to start, this event will help you better understand your options, identify what might be a good fit, and feel more prepared heading into firm networking receptions and the recruiting process!
