NYU's Ending the Prison Industrial Complex (EPIC) will be hosting an introductory meeting and social hour on Thursday, September 11th at 5pm in Furman 210. RSVP here and join the EPIC email list here.
EPIC is an umbrella student group with a variety of projects that work with and for just-impacted communities. We aim to interrogate the racist underpinnings of the criminal legal system and work towards decarceration as legal advocates and organizers. EPIC-affiliated projects include: NYU Parole Advocacy, the Solitary Confinement Project, Courtwatch, Books Beyond Bars, and End the Contract Coalition.
