Crafting Markets with Chris Hughes and Prof. David Kamin

Join NYU LPE and Law & Government Society for a speaker event on Marketcrafters: The 100-Year Struggle to Shape the American Economy, by Chris Hughes. Chris will present his book's findings about the pivotal and sometimes unsung public servants who gave shape to the US economic order.

Chris will be joined by Professor David Kamin (NYU Law), who will discuss his own experience in the White House designing and implementing the Inflation Reduction Act. This event will illuminate discrete moments when government agencies used the law and other policy levers to “craft” markets—and what this history can teach us about economic governance today.
