An opportunity for current 2Ls to learn from this year's Hays fellows about the application process and Hays Civil Liberties Program. The Hays program is for public interest 3Ls pursuing careers in civil rights and liberties, broadly construed. The program provides fellows with a community of public interest lawyers and students and consists of a seminar, term-time internships, a stipend toward tuition, and financial assistance with bar expenses. Current 2Ls with a demonstrated commitment to civil rights and/or civil liberties are strongly encouraged to apply.
