Are you a 1L overwhelmed by the onslaught of big law recruiting information? Whether you’re curious but undecided, definitely applying, or you’re just looking for information on different firms, the American Constitution Society (ACS) wants to help. Hear from a panel of 2Ls and 3Ls about their experience recruiting (and deciding to recruit) for big law summer associate positions. Topics include: the benefits and tradeoffs of starting your career in the private sector, tips on how to research firms, the dynamics emerging from the Trump administration’s targeting of law firms and the subsequent deals made by some firms, strategies for targeting the NYC and DC big law markets, and more. This panel may be especially helpful for students debating whether or not to participate in recruiting, and wondering how it might fit into other career goals (including public interest and government service).
