B.P.J. and why the Court was correct in holding that state laws limiting participation on girls' and women's sports teams to biological females do not violate Title IX or the Fourteenth Amendment.

Jim Campbell is chief legal counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom, leading its U.S. Legal Advocacy team. He has argued twice before the U.S. Supreme Court, including Chiles v. Salazar, securing an 8-1 victory for free speech in March 2026 when the court affirmed that counseling conversations are speech and that states cannot censor viewpoints in the counseling room. Before ADF, he was solicitor general for Nebraska's Attorney General. Campbell graduated summa cum laude in 2006 from the University of Akron School of Law, clerked for the Honorable Alice M. Batchelder of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, and is admitted to the state bars of Ohio, Arizona, and Nebraska. He is also admitted to multiple federal district and appellate courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.
