NYU Law Orators is a student group focusing on an unmet need in law school: the importance of public speaking in the legal profession. We do so in two ways: first, by bringing in speakers from a variety of backgrounds to discuss their legal careers and the role public speaking plays in it; and second, by creating opportunites, such as workshops, for law students to develop their own public speaking skills. Ultimately, we hope members will be able to improve their ability to engage in oral advocacy and persuasion in the public sphere and connect more deeply with the passions that brought them to law school.
As a new group on campus, we look forward to growing and increasing opportunities for our peers in the NYU Law community!
