How to Place Job Listings for Private Sector Positions

You can post and manage NYU Law job listings through our Career Services Manager

Job listings should include:

  • A brief description of the position, including the minimum number of years of experience required and any other job-specific requirements (e.g., bar membership, foreign language skills, etc.)
  • Application requirements (e.g., a writing sample or transcript)
  • Salary range (Since an increasing number of jurisdictions, including New York City, now require pay transparency as to the salary range for a posted position, we ask all employers to disclose the hourly or annual salary range in their job listings.)
  • Contact information
  • Preferred method of application

You may wish to include further information, such as a brief description of your organization, or the salary range for the position (the latter is required in NYC).

You will receive a confirmation when your listing has been activated. All jobs entered by employers are vetted by a member of our staff.

Questions about posting job listings? For student listings, please contact Jemina Molines at jemina.molines@nyu.edu. For alumni listings, reach out to Ellyn Polansky at ellyn.polansky@nyu.edu.

Please note:

  1. To ensure that listings are in compliance with the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), we do not post maximum caps on the number of years of experience required for a position.
  2. Since in a number of jurisdictions including New York City, employers no longer can ask about or rely on salary history during the hiring process, we do not include requests for salary history in job listings.

How to Place Job Listings for Public Service Positions

Public interest and government employers seeking to recruit NYU Law students and graduates should forward the job posting to pilc.info@nyu.edu. Please be sure that your job description includes the following information:

  • Application process

NYU Law’s Public Interest Legal Career Fair is the largest event of its kind in the country. If you are interested in interviewing students on campus but are unable to participate in the PILC Fair, we may be able to accommodate you.

Public interest employers are also encouraged to post their vacancies on PSJD. Founded at NYU Law, PSJD is a network of nearly 160 member law schools from across the country and more than 12,000 law-related public interest organizations based around the world.
