The NYU Alumni Card, which is valid for one year from the date of issue, is free for new graduates and sent to alumni who make a gift to any of the NYU Annual Funds. Alumni Authors' Project

The NYU Professional Bookstore has recently created an alumni authors section and encourages alumni who have written books to submit them for consideration. Once submitted, the Bookstore will review books to ensure they are reasonably priced and appropriate for a retail outlet. Once books have passed the review, they will be shelved. Alumni with LLM degrees

A student who has been awarded the LLM degree by NYU School of Law may take a maximum of three additional courses (which will appear on their transcript) without becoming a candidate for another degree. Such a student must submit a Post-LLM Degree Study Request form to the Office of Records and Registration for permission to register, and must make payment and fulfill all of the requirements for each course, including the taking of in-class examinations via Exam Soft, the submission of required papers, and THES for take-home exams. Car Rental and NYC Parking Discounts

Avis Car Rental

Avis offers special rates to NYU alumni on Car rentals. Vouchers may be obtained at the University Information Center at 50 West Fourth Street, New York, NY 10012-1165; (212) 998-INFO(4636). The University Information Center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday during the academic year.

Coming to Manhattan and need a convenient place to park?

NYU alumni are eligible for a 20% discount off all daily parking rates at all of Garage Management Company’s (GMC) 65 Manhattan locations. To participate in this benefit, you must establish an account with GMC for easy monthly billing. Call (212) 888-7400 x364 and request an application for your discount-parking card. Upon receipt of your application, a vehicle ID card and a map of GMC’s locations will be mailed to you. Simply present the card to the garage attendant and you will receive 20% off the standard rate.

Children of Alumni Undergraduate Admissions

An alumni admissions hotline has been created especially for alumni inquiries. Call the Alumni Admissions Hotline at (212) 998-4556 to receive undergraduate admissions information for a prospective NYU student; to learn about NYU admissions, receptions, and recruitment presentations; or to find out more about NYU campus tours for prospective students and parents.

Club Quarters

New York: NYU alumni visiting New York are invited to stay at Club Quarters Wall Street, a private hotel convenient to the University. Located in a renovated turn-of-the-century building in New York's historic Financial District, Club Quarters offers full hotel services, meeting rooms, a health club, room service, automated wake-up service and fax and computer capability. On weekends, University guests may also stay at the Club Quarters Midtown, located in a landmark building close to shopping, Broadway theatres, and Rockefeller Center. Washington, DC: The exclusive Club Quarters Washington, DC, hotel offers 161 comfortable rooms that are well equipped for the business traveler. The hotel is located at 839 17th Street NW, on the corner of I Street overlooking Farragut Square, just a few blocks from the White House.

Boston: The Boston Club Quarters offers 178 comfortable, traditionally styled rooms. Located at 161 Devonshire Street, the hotel is between Milk and Franklin Streets in the heart of the Financial District and just a few blocks from Post Office Square, the Old South Meeting House, and Faneuil Hall.

Philadelphia: The Philadelphia Club Quarters is located at 1628 Chestnut Street.

Chicago: The Chicago Club Quarters is located at 111 West Adams Street (between Clark and LaSalle).

Discount Movie and Theater Tickets

Alumni with a current NYU Alumni Card may use NYU's Ticket Central, located in The Kimmel Center on the corner of Washington Square South and LaGuardia Place (566 LaGuardia Place, use West Side Entrance), to purchase discount movie tickets and to obtain ticket vouchers to select Broadway and off-Broadway shows. Jack H. Skirball Center for the Performing Arts 

The Jack H. Skirball Center for the Performing Arts is part of NYU's Kimmel Center for University Life, located at LaGuardia Place and Washington Square South. With its downtown location, seating for over 850, and state-of-the-art technology for new media and broadcast capabilities, the Skirball Center is a much sought after performing arts space, serving NYU's renowned arts programs and acting as a magnet for performance groups from around the world.

NYU alumni who present a valid NYU Alumni Card are entitled to a 10% discount to most performances at the Skirball Center. Tickets must be purchased at the Skirball Box Office, and there are no refunds or exchanges on tickets once purchased. Please note that discounts are available only at the Box Office, and discounted tickets may not be reserved in advance by telephone or online.

Law Alumni Association Membership

The Law Alumni Association (LAA) is an integral part of the educational, intellectual and social life at New York University School of Law. Upon graduation, all alumni automatically become members of the LAA and will receive invitations to all events sponsored by the LAA, including the LAA/LACA/Public Interest Law Center Benefit, lectures, receptions, and various recent graduate events. Some events, including Reunion classes, provide CLE credits.

 

Law School Library Visitor Information

NYU Law School alumni wishing to access the Law Library must be sponsored by the Law School’s Alumni Relations Office. To request visitor sponsorship, please email us at law.alumni@nyu.edu. Once sponsorship is approved, the library will issue an electronic Visitor's Pass.

NYU Athletic Facilities

Coles Sports Center (currently under renovation)

Alumni with the NYU Alumni Card are entitled to one introductory visit to the Jerome S. Coles Sports and Recreation Center, a beautifully-equipped gym with lap and diving pools; squash, racquetball, volleyball, basketball and tennis courts; a rooftop running track; and exercise equipment. More than 70 classes are offered each week. Family memberships are available, along with Saturday programs for children and parents. 404 Fitness

404 Fitness is now open while Coles Sports Center is closed for renovations. The new fitness center at 404 Lafayette Street features the latest strength training and cardio equipment, as well as studios for dance and yoga—all in a fully air-conditioned, modern space.

Palladium Residence Hall on Union Square

Alumni with an introductory visit of membership to Coles Sports Center may also select to utilize the new sports and recreation facility at the Palladium Residence Hall on Union Square. Inside the Palladium is a state-of-the-art new fitness center that features a deep-water swimming pool, climbing wall, basketball courts, weight and aerobic training rooms and numerous exercise machines. The facility occupies two stories of the new residence hall.

Chelsea Piers Sports and Entertainment Complex

Alumni and their spouses or domestic partners who are members of Coles Sports Center are also eligible to purchase a one-year membership to the Chelsea Piers Sports Center at a special rate. Chelsea Piers is part of a 30-acre sports and entertainment complex at 23rd Street and the Hudson River. It features an indoor track, rock-climbing wall and sand volleyball court, as well as facilities for aerobics, cardiovascular and weight workouts, and other activities.

NYU Book Centers and Computer Store

Alumni with a valid NYU Alumni Card are eligible for a 15 percent discount on general books, clothing, and memorabilia at the NYU Book Centers and selected items at the NYU Computer Store. Please note that the alumni discount is not valid for the purchase of text books.

IBM Computer Discounts

In today's highly technological marketplace, having an up-to-date computer is essential. NYU is offering substantial discounts to alumni with an NYU Alumni Card on IBM Thinkpads, desktops, printers and more.
