Biography: Yijiao is a JSD Fellow at the Information Law Institute at NYU. She holds an LL.M. in Legal Theory from NYU Law and an LL.B. from the University of Hong Kong. During her LL.B., she led a collaborative project with FedEx Express on law and automation at Law, Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (LITE) Lab at HKU and together with LITE Lab won the 2022 International Industry Award for Legal Innovation from Corporate Legal Operations Consortium.
Research: Her research interests include intellectual property theories, authorship/inventorship and ownership of AI-assisted and AI-generated work, the creative process viewed through the prism of the philosophy of mind, and computational creativity.
