Requests to Change Dates of Stay

All Requests to Change Dates of Stay must be submitted in writing to the No request to change an arrival or departure date is guaranteed.Office of Residential Life, 240 Mercer Street, by the individual applicant.  The request form must be accompanied by a $25 nonrefundable processing fee, payable by personal check, certified check, or money order to NYU. We only take payments online via NYU eSuite. Your initial reservation does not give you priority for changing your dates of stay. No request to change an arrival or departure date is guaranteed.

Note:  Review the short-term and long-term rates.

  • Short-Term Stay = 4-6 Weeks
  • Long-Term Stay = 7-9 Weeks

Arrival and Departure Date Changes

No request to change an arrival or departure date is guaranteed. Unless a written request to shorten a length of stay is approved, the license binds you to all terms for the full license period.Your initial application/reservation does not give you priority for changing your dates of stay. Residents are charged on a full-week basis (Sunday-Saturday) regardless of whether they arrive later or leave earlier than the confirmed lease period. Unless a written request to shorten a length of stay is approved, the license binds you to all terms for the full license period.



Extension Requests


No extension is guaranteed. Your initial reservation does not give you priority for extending your stay. If your hall/room is not available at the time of your extension request, you must check-out by your original departure date.

Requests to arrive prior to June 2, 2013 or to extend past August 3, 2013 will not be granted.
