Youna is the Director of Case Study Development, Research and Publishing at the Grunin Center for Law and Social Entrepreneurship at NYU Law. She is a corporate transactional attorney by training, having started her career representing international clients in cross border M&As, foreign investments and joint ventures at a large law firm based in Korea. Her most recent role was at a boutique corporate law firm specializing in startup work, advising diverse entrepreneurs on formation, fundraising and commercial transactions.

Growing up and studying in multiple countries, Youna can easily move throughout different cultures and interact with diverse parties from various backgrounds. She is fluent in English and Korean, proficient in French, and conversational in Japanese. 

Youna received her JD from Northwestern University, MS in International Development from London School of Economics and Political Science, and BS in International Politics and Gender & Women's Studies from Georgetown University.

She cares deeply about social and economic justice issues and using her legal expertise as a force for good in this world. She loves the performing arts, being out in nature and quality time with friends over good food.
