PDA Phones

NYU Law is proud to support a variety of common smartphone and PDA devices.  For devices with cellular data connectivity, users will be able to wirelessly sync their Law School Exchange e-mail, calendar, contacts, and tasks.  Many phones, such as the iPhone, are easy to setup and can be done by the user.  Other phones, such as the BlackBerry, must be taken to the Helpdesk for setup.  The world of PDA and Smartphones is ever progressing with new devices arriving on the market all the time.  Feel free to ask us any questions you may have.

For all phones, please be sure to have an unlimited data plan.  The monthly limit of a limited data plan will be quickly exceeded, thus incurring heavy usage charges.  If you are unsure of your plan, please check with your cellular carrier as the Helpdesk will be unable to determine this.
For older, wired PDA’s, the Helpdesk can help configure your PC to sync calendar, contacts, and tasks via the supplied USB cable.  While we recommend using a smartphone over a PDA, we understand that some users do not wish to be constantly connected.  For help with your PDA, please contact Helpdesk to discuss.
