Comprehensive Student Services
The Graduate Division’s academic advisors, along with the faculty, are your constant resources during your graduate legal studies. They will guide you in planning the best curriculum for you, keeping your professional goals in mind.
In addition, the Office of Graduate Affairs and the Graduate Tax Program offers supportive programming and community-building events, along with advice on how best to take advantage of available resources. They also connect students with one another and integrate the LLM class into the life of the Law School and the University.
Most LLMs live in one room of a two- or three-room apartment in D'Agostino Hall or Hayden Hall. These high-rise buildings are located just a few steps from your classes and offer a variety of amenities that support your academic and residential life.
You will have around-the-clock staff and services, such as 24-hour front desk staff and maintenance, as well as state-of-the-art communications, like as high-speed wifi. Utilities and furnishings also are included in the room rate. Each residence hall features study and laundry rooms, lounges and terraces, computer labs, bike storage, and recreation rooms. Family housing is available in limited quantities.
The NYU Law Experience
Michele Krech LLM ’16, JSD ’23
“During my LLM, close engagement with expert faculty and students of diverse academic professional backgrounds inspired me to challenge my intellectual boundaries. This led me to ask sharper questions, which I sought to answer through my research in the JSD program.”
