Which students are eligible to participate?
Students currently enrolled in a U.S. graduate (LL.M. or J.S.D.) program from one of the participating law schools (see above), who received their first law degree from another country, are eligible to interview in this program. Participation is limited to one event per degree earned at one of the participating schools. Students currently enrolled in a U.S. J.D. program are not eligible to participate under any circumstances.
J.S.D. students may participate in ISIP. Participation is limited to one ISIP event while a J.S.D. student. Students continuing their studies during the following fall semester will need to make their need for a summer associate/intern position very clear in a required cover letter to be submitted along with their resume to each ISIP employer. Anticipated date of graduation must also be made clear on the resume. J.S.D. students graduating in May 2013 do not need to submit a cover letter with their resume since their availability is the same as that of the LL.M. students.
If a student participated last year are they eligible to participate again this year?
Students are only eligible to participate once during their LL.M. program.
If a student had an account last year, but did not bid, does it count as participation?
If a student has an account but does not place a bid they are not counted as having participated. Once a student places a bid they have used their opportunity to participate in the program.
Which employers participate?
Information on participating employers will be available through the online system in October. For a list of participating employers from past years please refer to the Employer Brochure.
How are interview schedules created?

How is ISIP staffed?
With over 700 students and 250 interviewers attending ISIP, NYU School of Law’s resources are stretched very thin. Support from members of the ISIP consortium schools is absolutely critical in making this program run smoothly. School participation is more important than ever this year due to the expanded two-day program. It is our expectation that every consortium school will send at least one staff member to assist with the logistics of ISIP.
Should you have budgetary concerns regarding your ability to send volunteers to this program, our Assistant Dean, Irene Dorzback, would be pleased to communicate directly with the Dean at your school to emphasize the importance of your participation in this program.
Consortium school participants looking for affordable hotel options in New York during ISIP are welcome to use NYU’s corporate rate at Club Quarters, which has locations in midtown and the financial district. www.clubquarters.com and www.TheHolidayInnSoho.com. Please contact Samantha Chalal at samantha.chalal@nyu.edu for the online password to access NYU’s special rates at these hotels. NYU also has corporate rates at the SoHo Grand Hotel www.sohogrand.com; simply mention NYU when making your reservations. We have provided a list of affordable hotel options for students in the Student FAQ document online.
