Arent Fox Diversity Scholarship Program

Arent Fox offers its annual diversity scholarship which also includes a place in the firm's summer associate program.

UNCF

The UNCF Program Services Department manages various scholarship programs. Each program has its own eligibility criteria, open/close dates and required documentation.

The Point Foundation

Point Foundation provides financial support, leadership training, mentoring and hope to meritorious students who are marginalized due to sexual orientation, gender identity and/or gender expression. The application process is open to all LGBT students nationwide regardless of level of education. Please check the website after JANUARY 1 for the next year's online application.

Sachs Foundation

The Sachs Foundation has a limited graduate grant program. Selection for a graduate grant is on a case by case basis determined by the Board of Directors. The average graduate grant is $6,000.00.  According the foundation's most current website information, there are approximately six graduate recipients per year.

Japanese American Citizens League

The JACL will award over 40 scholarships in seven categories: Entering Freshman, Undergraduate, Graduate, Law, Hagiwara Financial Aid, Creative and Performing Arts, and Special Awards. Applicants may apply under one category only. Applicants must be JACL members to qualify for a scholarship; applications for membership may be requested with the scholarship application. Scholarship awards range from $1,000-$5,000. Applications for the scholarship program should be requested in writing. The request should specify one type of scholarship application and include a #10 Self Addressed Stamped Envelope. Requests received without a SASE will not be processed.

National Asian Pacific American Bar Association Law Foundation (NAPABA)

Two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to law students who demonstrate a commitment to serve or contribute to the Asian Pacific American community as future leaders. Selections are based on demonstrated commitment to and interest in pro bono, public interest and/or public service legal work, financial need, leadership potential, maturity and responsibility and commitment to serving the needs of the Asian Pacific American community.

Kamehameha Schools

Offers scholarships to Native Hawaiian students enrolled full-time in classified, degree awarding programs at regionally acredited colleges and universities.

Advocates Polish American Bar Association

This scholarship program is for students of Polish-American heritage or students who are committed to promoting the welfare, culture and interests of persons of Polish heritage.

Armenian General Benevolent Union

Loan ranging from $5,000 - $7,000 yearly are available to full-time students of Armenian heritage pursuing Master's degree in communications, education administration, public administration, or international relations; Ph.D. in Armenian studies (final two years only); first professional degree in law (J.D.) or medicine (M.D.). Candidates must be students enrolled in highly competitive colleges and universities. Applicants must also have a GPA of 3.5 or better during their undergraduate study.

Armenian Students' Association

Applicants must be of Armenian ancestry, demonstrate financial need, have good academic performance, show self-help and participate in extracurricular activities. Grants in the amount of $500 to $1,500 are awarded yearly.

Council of Higher Education

The Council of Higher Education has established a scholarship program for U.S. and Canadian students of Czech, Slovak, or Ruthenian descent who plan to continue education in undergraduate and graduate programs. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited academic institution of the student's choice.

Incorporated Society of Irish/American Lawyers

Each year the Incorporated Society of Irish/American Lawyers awards two $1,500 scholarships to second or third year law students. Applicants will be asked to provide their resume, financial need, transcript of grades and a short letter stating why they should be awarded the scholarship.

Iranian American Bar Association (IABA)

IABA grants one or more scholarships each year to law students who have demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of the Iranian-American community. Applicants must be of Iranian heritage and full-time students at an accredited law school (applications from UCI School of Law will be accepted) in the United States who are not otherwise receiving full educational funding from another organization.

The Kosciuszko Foundation

Founded in 1925, the Kosciuszko Foundation has awarded scholarships for tuition since the 1950s.  Kosciuszko Foundation Tuition Scholarships support American students of Polish descent for full-time graduate studies in the United States. All majors are supported.

Swiss Benevolent Society of New York

Dominican Bar Association Scholarship

The DBA Law School Scholarship Program awards scholarships to individuals in their first, second or third year of law school. Students must be enrolled in law school full-time or part-time to qualify.  The scholarships are awarded to students based primarily on the following three factors:  demonstrated involvement in and commitment to serve the Latino community through the legal profession, academic and personal achievement, and financial need.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF)

College Scholarship Program: Scholarships range from $1,000 to $2,500. Applicants must be of Hispanic heritage, be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, must apply for federal financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), have completed 12 units at a U.S. accredited institution, and be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program at a U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam.

The New Jersey Hispanic Bar Association

Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF)

Numerous $2,000 - $6,000 law school scholarships are awarded to Latino students who are enrolled full-time in their first, second or third year of law school. Selection is based on demonstrated involvement with and commitment to serving the Latino community; academic and professional achievement; and financial need.

National Hispanic Scholarship Fund

Awards ranging from $500-$1,000 are awarded to full-time, day-time Hispanic students. Personal strengths, academic achievement, leadership and financial need are considered in the selection process.

Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund (PRLDEF)

(PRBA) Scholarship Award is $2,000. The PRBA is intended to ensure that students of color have full and equal access to the legal profession. All first and second year Latino students attending law school in the United States are eligible to apply. PRBA selects recipients based on financial need and academic promise. Students working toward their LL.M. are not eligible for this award.

ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund

This scholarship fund is intended to encourage racial and ethnic minority students to apply to law school and to provide financial assistance to the scholarship recipients. Twenty $5,000 awards will be made to entering first-year students and may be renewable for two additional years, resulting in financial assistance totaling $15,000 during each student's time in law school.

Fredrikson & Byron Foundation Minority Scholarship Program

The Fredrikson & Byron Foundation Minority Scholarship Program sponsors educational opportunities for currently enrolled, first-year law students of diverse backgrounds.

Goodwin Public Interest Fellowships for Law Students of Color

Goodwin offers financial awards to students of color who work in public interest positions the summer after their first year of law school.

Latham Diversity Scholars Program

The Latham Diversity Scholars Program is designed to increase the number of diverse attorneys who want to pursue careers in global law firms. To be eligible you must be a U.S. citizen enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school.

Lloyd M. Johnson, Jr. Scholarship Program

The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) Lloyd M. Johnson, Jr. Scholarship Program provides scholarship support for newly entering first year law students pursuing a Juris Doctor (non-L.L.M.) degree.

Stoel Rives LLP

The firm offers law students full-time summer associate positions in the firm and financial stipends to offset their educational expenses.

Baker & Hostetler Fellowships and Scholarships

The firm offers fellowship and scholarship opportunities for law students from diverse backgrounds.

Sidney B. Williams, Jr. Minority Law Student Scholarship Program

The organization offers scholarships to minority students developing a career in intellectual property law.

The organization offers scholarships to members of a U.S. federally recognized American Indian tribes or Alaskan Native groups who are pursuing a masters or doctorate degree as a full-time graduate student at an accredited school in the U.S.

Association on American Indian Affairs, Inc.

Offers scholarships to Native American students who will use their training to help the advancement of the Native American population. Both academic achievement and financial need are considered.

Cherokee Nation Graduate Scholarship

Members of the Cherokee Nation who are enrolled full time are eligible to apply.

American Association of University Women

Each year the AAUW Educational Foundation offers a variety of fellowships to women.  Fellowship and grant recipients perform research in a wide range of disciplines and work to improve their schools and communities.

New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs

A fellowship fund was established by the organization in 1930 to provide fellowships to women who are New Jersey residents pursuing post-graduate advanced studies at the school of their choice.

Jewish Vocational Service Scholarship Fund

Since 1972, The JVS Scholarship Fund has provided financial assistance to Jewish students from Los Angeles to help them attend colleges, universities and vocational schools across the country. The primary criterion for JVS Scholarship selection is financial need. Jewish community involvement and service are also considered, as well as potential for success.
