Judicial Clerkships

New York University School of Law has a very successful judicial clerkship program. One thirty-three NYU School of Law alumni were working as judicial clerks at the start of the 2009 term: forty-seven J.D. 2009 graduates; forty-five J.D. 2008 graduates; eleven J.D. 2007 graduates; six J.D. 2006 graduates; eight J.D. 2005 graduates; four graduates from earlier J.D. classes; and twelve graduates from the LL.M. program. Each year in recent years, NYU School of Law graduates have clerked at the United States Supreme Court and at the International Court of Justice in the Hague.

OCS provides various clerkship programs, panels, materials and individualized counseling sessions in order to prepare and aid students in this process. OCS also provides students with a clerkship "binder" of information so that they will have all of the tools and resources necessary to embark on this search.  During the spring semester, a judicial clerkship orientation program will be held for 2Ls detailing the application process.
