Deposit required for new students

A non-transferable/non-refundable $1,000 law housing deposit is required for new students to be eligible for academic year housing.

How to submit your deposit

You can submit your academic year housing deposit through eDeposit, by check or money order, or by international payment.

To pay via eDeposit:

Log in to Albert to get to eSuite
Click the “Finances” tab
Next, click “View Bursar Account”
Then, click the link that reads “Click here to continue to the NYU Office of the Bursar eSuite"
Next click the “Deposits” tab
Select the period you’re paying for in the first drop-down menu
Select "Law Academic Year Housing Dep" in the second drop-down menu

Please remember you must also submit your application in the NYU Law housing portal.

Room Selection Information Sessions

We will host 3 room selection information sessions to walk you through the process and answer any and all questions. Please check your NYU email address for more information.

Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. ET
Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. ET
Thursday, May 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. ET

Application Available Now
After activating your NYU account, you may apply online in the NYU Law Housing Portal. The priority deadline to apply is by May 15, 2026.

If you are participating in room selection, your appointment time for room selection will be emailed to your NYU email address only.

Please select apartment-mate groups by 11:59 p.m. ET

Room Selection Lottery
Select your apartment online at or after your appointment time.

By May 25, 2026
Assignment Letter Email Notification
A confirmation of your room selection will be sent to your NYU email address.
