On April 11, 2016, BLS organized the symposium "Brazil: Looking Beyond the Crisis", in which scholars, lawyers, economists and other prominent professionals discussed the current economic and political crisis in Brazil, as well as proposals for a recovery in both areas.
The keynote speech was delivered by Justice Luis Roberto Barroso (Brazilian Supreme Court). His speech notes are available at http://jota.uol.com.br/brasil-o-caminho-longo-e-sinuoso.
Moreover, BLS proudly brought to NYU Law Professor Milton Seligman, one of the most prominent scholars in the field of Governmental & Corporate Affairs in Brazil. Professor Seligman is a Global Fellow of the Woodrow Wilson International Centar for Scholars and a Professor of Insper in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
