Bryan Stevenson wins public service award from Stanford Law School

Photo of Bryan StevensonStanford Law School’s Center for Public Interest and Public Service Law has awarded its National Public Service Award to Bryan Stevenson “for his work challenging unfair criminal justice practices on behalf of poor and disenfranchised communities in the south.” A clinical professor of law, Stevenson is also executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative, a private, nonprofit law organization he founded that focuses on social justice and human rights in the context of criminal justice reform in the United States. Stevenson was honored at a ceremony on the Stanford Campus on October 20.
