Jose Alvarez joins Institute for Transnational Arbitration's Academic Council

Jose AlvarezJosé Alvarez, Herbert and Rose Rubin Professor of International Law, has been elected to the Academic Council of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration. Founded in 1986, the institute provides continuing education for lawyers, judges, and other professionals related to transnational arbitration of commercial and investment disputes. It functions as a global forum on contemporary issues in the field of transnational arbitration through programs, scholarly publications, and membership activities.

Thomas Buergenthal ’60, former judge on the International Court of Justice, is also a member of the Academic Council, which links the institute to respected law school professors teaching in the field.
