Natalia Sorgente '96 joins Justice Department's Environmental and Natural Resources Division

Natalia Sorgente ’96 has been named chief of staff and counsel in the Department of Justice’s Environment and Natural Resources Division (ENRD) by Ignacia Moreno ’90, the assistant attorney general who heads that division.

Most recently a senior legal fellow at the Alliance for Justice, a national association of organizations advancing justice and democracy, Sorgente had previously spent five years as a trial attorney in ENRD’s Environmental Defense Section, where she defended environmental regulations in federal courts. She began her legal career as an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison after clerking for Judge Norma L. Shapiro of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
